When it comes to the installation of a new railing, we strongly recommended relying on a "professional".

The Rheingold staircase renovation system can be installed on almost any surface - whether wood, stone or tiled. During a staircase renovation, the old staircase remains in place. It forms the basis for the creation of the "new" staircase.

How to make an old Stone or tile Staircase visually appealing?

Generally, of course, this is always a matter of taste. We recommend: The darker the staircase, the brighter the decor. By adding white risers and side coverings as well as our discreet LED step-illumination, the hallway or staircase takes on a whole new brightness. In addition, targeted contrasts (e.g., white side coverings and edgings in the tread decor) lend a very individual character. WHAT ARE THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS?
Our system can be installed on almost any surface. Old coverings such as carpet, vinyl or linoleum are removed before installation to ensure adhesion between the Rheingold tread elements and old treads. Worn out wooden treads are straightened in advance with a levelling compound if they are too worn down.

SAFETY WITH EACH STEP
Slipping, tripping or misstepping are very common in our everyday lives. A significant part of this is Falling accidents on stairs. In addition to appearance, your personal safety is of great importance to us. Our textured surfaces have an anti-slip effect. Step-illuminating LEDs provide additional safety. These ensure better orientation and safer stepping, especially at night.

A staircase is used several times a day. In addition to design and safety, a staircase must, above all, be suitable for everyday use and durable. Elaborate manufacturing processes ensure a hard-wearing and durable surface. No more sanding, oiling or replacing stair coverings again. how much Does Staircase renovation cost?
A fixed quotation of the costs can only be made after on-site measurement and choosing the decor and design.

Can open Stairs also be renovated?
Open stairs can be renovated if it is a staircase where the old treads are embedded in the stringer (composite board for side covering). During renovation, the steps can be completely covered. The stringer (composite board for side covering) and railing can be redone in colour if desired. The LED step-illumination cannot be installed on these types of stairs.

HOW LONG DOES A RENOVATION TAKE?

The duration of the installation depends largely on the renovation project. For full renovation including LED step-illumination, railings, treads and risers and stringers (composite board for side coverings), you should estimate at least five days. Please keep in mind that a staircase renovation is a custom job. Each building element we supply is customized and made to measure on site.

IS STAIRCASE RENOVATION / STAIRCASE REFURBISHMENT RECOMMENDED for COMMERCIAL OR MULTI-FAMILY BUILDINGS?

Yes, no problem. For renovations of this type, we recommend our Nature series. The surface of this collection, the "Purline" design covering from the renowned company Windmöller GmbH, has excellent product features and is recommended, among other things, for installation in apartment buildings or in commercial properties.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN A RENOVATED STAIRCASE?

Our three collections are easy to maintain and clean. For long-term enjoyment of your new staircase, please follow the care instructions. In our COLLECTIONS menu you will find the recommended instructions.

CAN I DO THE RENOVATION MYSELF?

In theory, this is quite possible. However, it requires possession of extensive tools and profound craftsmanship. The installation of the railing alone is a feat for professionals only. We recommend that the renovation be carried out by a competent and trustworthy company of your choice.

IN JUST A FEW DAYS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY YOUR NEW STAIRCASE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME

Your new staircase will be created step by step. The assembly times for this may vary. Considering that the staircase is custom-made, you should allow for an installation time of about three to five days.
